Tea that does more than just taste good.
Your cup can do a little good, too.
Moody Teas blends are built around your mood, not a wellness trend. But a few of our blends go a step further. Through our Tea for Good program, select blends donate a portion of every sale to a cause connected to the tea. Not a charity add-on. Not a PR campaign. Just tea that does something every time you steep a cup.
Tea isn't a luxury. It's a daily practice.
For a lot of people, tea is the first quiet moment of the day. It's what you make when you need to slow down, when you're running on empty, when you want something warm that isn't a task.
We started Moody Teas because we believe tea should be accessible: to every budget, every mood, every kind of day. Not precious. Not pricey. Not reserved for people who already know what a gaiwan is.
When tea is built around real ingredients and real moods, it does more than taste good. It actually helps. And when the brand behind it gives a damn about community, it can do even more.
"Every participating tea supports something bigger, so your daily cup can do a little good, too."— Moody Teas
Every participating tea supports something bigger,
so your daily cup can do a little good, too.
Tea for Good is our community impact program. Select Moody Teas blends donate a portion of every sale to a cause connected to the blend — because everyone deserves access to good tea, and every purchase helps us keep showing up where it matters most.
Three simple steps to tea that does more
Choose a participating blend.
Browse the blends below and find one that speaks to you: the cause, the flavor, the story, or all three.
A portion of the sale is donated.
When you purchase a participating blend, a portion of every sale goes directly to that blend's paired cause. No extra steps. No separate checkout.
The donation supports that blend's paired cause.
Each cause is connected to an organization doing real work in the community. Your purchase doesn't fix everything; it adds up, and it shows up. Things like that matter.
The blends
Each blend below is part of our Tea for Good program. Steep one; every purchase supports something.
Blueberry Lemon-Aid
Blueberry Lemon-Aid is our newest blend, built on a Fair Trade white peony base with blueberry, lemon, lavender, and lemongrass. It's calm and bright and just a little floral.
△ Current partner — updates monthly
Mutual aid isn't charity. It's community taking care of itself. Each month, $2.50 from every $12 sale goes to a different mutual aid organization. Right now, that's Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a Twin Cities mutual aid organization making sure people have what they need.
Transcendence
Transcendence started as a limited seasonal blend: a color-changing butterfly pea flower tea created in partnership with Miss Peppermint. It resonated so much we made it permanent. Rooibos, spearmint, vanilla. Caffeine-free. A little magical. It lives in our Calm collection year-round now.
22% of every sale is split between our partner Miss Peppermint and Allies for Trans Equality, advocating for the rights, health, and safety of trans people across the United States.
You don't have to be a tea person to be a tea person.
You don't need to know your oolongs from your white teas. You don't need a fancy kettle. You don't need to have opinions about steeping temperatures (though we do, and we'll share them if you want).
You just need a mug and a reason. Moody Teas is for people who want tea that actually matches how they're feeling, and who want their dollar to mean something when it can.
Tea for Good blends are for you. Whether you're already here or just finding us.
Tea as a force for good — not just a luxury product.
Moody Teas exists for a simple reason: everyone deserves access to good tea. Through accessible pricing, neighborhood partnerships, and Tea for Good donations, every purchase helps us keep showing up in communities where quality tea is hard to find.
Real people. Real mugs. Real reviews.
We're a small Chicago business. We don't have a PR team or a celebrity collab. What we have are customers who come back, share their cups, and tell us why it matters to them. That's enough.
"My first purchase was the day after Juneteenth last year because that's when they showed in my feed as a Black and Queer owned loose leaf tea shoppe. And I have NEVER regretted that first purchase or any other. Their heart for community is more than their most amazing tea and customer service, and I am so excited about this step forward that Nora and John have taken to do more for communities!"— Megan, Threads
