We can’t believe how the time has flown so far this year – it’s already almost April! With Spring well on its way, we’re busy solidifying our farmers markets for this summer. As always, you can find our current markets under our Markets page, but we wanted to post a lil update and highlight some of our upcoming markets and why we love them!
Logan Square Farmers Market
This is our OG market where we started out as a bi-weekly vendor last January. We were super sad they didn’t host a winter market this year since we’ve missed seeing all of your smiling faces! But absence makes the heart grow fonder, or so they say. So, we’re so excited to be there EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY this year!! Starting May 14th through the end of October, you can find us on Logan Blvd, right next to the square!
We love Logan for a lot of reasons. Of course it’ll always hold a special place in our hearts as our first market. But that also means we get to see some of our favorite OG customers!
We love that Logan Square allows us to accept SNAP. Since accessibility is so important to us, we’ve wanted to accept SNAP since the beginning. Unfortunately, cost prohibits us from accepting on our website. We combat this by offering our Accessibility Program on our website, but we’re psyched to be able to accept SNAP in person at the market.
Logan Square is a really diverse neighborhood, allowing us to connect with people from all different walks of life. The Logan Square Farmers Market is also surrounded by some amazing local businesses who we love forming connections with.
The Logan Square Chamber also hosts tons of cool pop ups, events, and programming involving the market. We love to be involved in the Little Peas, Food Education, and Composting programs, plus fun events like the singles mixers at the “horniest” farmers market in Chicago.
Lincoln Park Farmers Market
We joined the Lincoln Park Farmers Market in September last year after meeting the most amazing market manager Elsa at Logan Square. The Lincoln Park Farmers Market, located in the parking lot of the Lincoln Park high school, is one of the oldest farmers markets in the city of Chicago. We’ll be here every Saturday from 7am-1PM
We love the Lincoln Park Farmers Market because, unlike the other unnamed market in Lincoln Park, it’s incredibly supportive of its vendors. It’s low cost to vend and curated selection of high quality vendors mean it features a great variety of small businesses you won’t find at other exclusive markets. The exclusion tactics and inaccessibility of the other market in the area goes against our standards, so we’re ecstatic to be able to vend in the neighborhood without supporting a market that preys on small businesses.
We also love working with this market thanks to the manager, Elsa. She’s been in the farmers market world for a long time, and her wealth of knowledge and infectious positivity make her a joy to work with.
Though this isn’t one of our busier markets, we’re happy to make them our home and invest into the market itself. This is a great opportunity for us to support an organization that furthers our community minded beliefs.
320 S Canal Farmers Market
This market is new this year, and we’re so excited to get the opportunity to get involved from the beginning. While we’re not too sure what to expect, we can’t wait to see what the season will bring! We’ll be here alternating Tuesdays starting May 23rd – for a full list of dates check back on our Markets page!
We’re excited to be bringing Moody Teas downtown this season, especially so close to Union Station. This is a great opportunity for us to meet new people from other parts of the city and even the suburbs as they stop by on their commute home from work!
Lincoln Square Farmers Market
We’re happy to add a market further on the north side of the city, in such a diverse neighborhood as Lincoln Square. We’ll be popping up here Thursday evenings from 3PM – 7PM once a month starting June 8th.
Our office is in Buena Park, so the Lincoln Square Farmers Market is practically in our back yard. We’re so excited to add a market closer to our office to have a better opportunity to meet our neighbors!
Did you know we have a community playlist we play at all our farmers markets? Head on over to our Markets page to add to our playlist so you can hear your favorite tunes while you visit us!
