About Moody Teas

We provide affordable, handcrafted tea blends designed to enhance any mood.

Using organic teas, all natural fruits, herbs, and spices, and herbal remedies; Moody teas are designed to fit into any healthy lifestyle, at any time, and in any setting. Available in a variety of blends and flavors, we are available online and farmer’s markets in Chicago, all at a reasonable price. Whether you need something to invigorate, focus, or calm you, there’s a blend of Moody tea for you!

We started in 2019 as two friends who love tea – John and Nora. Friends of over 10 years, we decided to start Moody Teas because we share a love of tea, but we were frustrated by our struggle to find high quality blends that were healthy, delicious, and affordable. We were sick of readily available grocery store brands that sacrifice quality to bring down prices, and high-end tea shops with great blends that weren’t affordable or accessible. We dreamed about starting an approachable tea shop – somewhere where everyone is welcome, regardless of lifestyle. Out of this dream, Moody Teas was born.

Our way offers a variety of teas and tea blends, each designed to enhance a desired mood. Whether you are searching for something to invigorate, focus, or calm yourself, we have a blend for you. We use a range of tea bases, from traditional black and green teas to tea alternatives such as Guayusa alongside an array of fruits and herbs. Our teas are formulated to effectively enhance any your mood and get you feeling how you want to feel!

Unfortunately, high-quality loose-leaf tea is often inaccessible due its lack of availability in average stores and steep prices (no pun intended). Additionally, teas as a health supplement are often not accessible to the average consumer for the same reasons. Moody Teas seeks to change this by creating a lifestyle movement around healthy, delicious, and beneficial teas. To learn more about what accessibility means to us, click here.

Shipping and Handling

Attention: All orders will be shipped as soon as possible, thank you for your patience as we work during the pandemic.

Because we mix small batches to keep our teas as fresh and high-quality as possible, orders will be filled and shipped within 5-7 days after order placement provided all products are in stock.

Due to our small batches and supplier delays following the pandemic, there may be delays on certain blends as we restock. If an item in your order is sold out, you will be notified that your order is delayed. If you’d prefer we ship items separately please Contact Us.

We ship anywhere within the United States through USPS. Shipping is a flat rate of $9.99, with free shipping on orders with a subtotal over $40. We also offer local pick up and delivery within the city of Chicago for free!

Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer international shipping. But stay tuned, we can’t wait to send our teas all over the world!

Sourcing and Ingredients

At Moody Teas, we’re committed to using only the best possible ingredients – the freshest, least processed, most organic, and most ethical teas, herbs, spices, and fruits. We are always searching for new, exciting ingredients, and new sources for the ones we already use. We strive to use only organic ingredients (currently 95% are always organic) and fair trade whenever possible (currently about 75%).
