OVERVIEW
Kumaon Black is a rare form of black tea, produced in a Himalayan tea region in northern India. First planted in the 1850s, the Kumaon region was a well kept secret due to its inaccessibility and distance from ports, and tea was left to flourish in the wild until the 1970s, when the Indian government created a program to revive tea growth to help create rural opportunities.
Kumaon Black tea brews a cup similar to its Darjeeling counterparts, with a light body, floral notes, vegetal finish, and wonderful fragrance.

Kumaon Black brews a light, fragrant cup with floral notes and a vegetal finish.
BREW TIME, COLOR, AND TEMP
Kumaon Black brews to an amber silk color. The leaves should brew for no longer than 3-4 minutes at 200 degrees.
