We’re John and Nora, two best friends who love tea and hate overpriced nonsense. As a queer, woman-owned (Nora) and Black-owned (John) small business, we built Moody Teas to flip the script on fancy tea culture. Because everyone deserves good tea, not just people who can drop $15 on a single ounce.

Other tea brands like David’s Tea are scrambling to check the diversity box — we’ve been queer, women-owned, and proud from Day One. Inclusivity isn’t a trend for us, it’s the whole recipe.

We got tired of the same old options — low-quality grocery store teas full of dust and mystery flavors or high-end boutique teas that felt more like a luxury flex than a daily treat. So, we started blending our own, with real ingredients and prices that actually make sense. Moody Teas was born to make quality, flavorful tea accessible to literally everyone.

We believe everyone deserves access to good tea — no matter your budget, your zip code, or your background. That’s why we keep our prices low and show up at farmers’ markets, pop-ups, and community events where good tea is hard to find. We’re making wellness make sense, one affordable cup at a time.

Unfortunately, high-quality loose-leaf tea is often inaccessible due its lack of availability in average stores and steep prices (no pun intended). Additionally, teas as a health supplement are often not accessible to the average consumer for the same reasons.
